A: Handshook will scan what it is given, (ie. text on badges, cards, etc.) and will also scan QR codes from providers like Popl, Blinq, and HiHello that are not encrypted or proprietary for a specific event (i.e. Cvents or Whova).
A: You can download the app for iOS and Android and use the Limited Free plan until you run out of scans. Advanced features such as scanning business cards to your CRM and finding connections on LinkedIn are only available on a paid plan.
A: Yes, you will need an install key for each person. With Handshook, the price of one license for your team for the year will often be cheaper than using different business card or badge scanners at each event.
A: We integrate with over 3000 apps via our partner Zapier. The most common include Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Mailchimp, Active Campaign, Follow Up Boss, Office 365, GSuite, and Pipedrive.
A: Yes, Handshook is compatible with most popular digital business card platforms like HiHello, Popl, Blinq, and LinkedIn’s QR code to profile feature. It works with any QR code that leads to a public link but not with proprietary QR codes that are encrypted at a specific event.
A: If you experience bad connectivity to the internet while at an event, you can use our built-in Offline Mode. However, to take full advantage of the power of AI, simply use your phone camera to take pictures of the badges and business cards. You can upload them later to the App with the “upload” button option, when you have a better internet connection.
