To Export your Handshook contacts:
Method 1) In the app
- Click Export
- Select fields you’d like to export
- Then share, Airdrop, text or email the file to whoever will be importing it
Method 2) In a web browser:
- Visit https://admin.handshook.app
- Sign in with your App credentials
- Click the “Connections” tab
- Click the “Export” button in the top right.
- Your contacts will be exported in CSV format.
Now let’s import the contacts into Outlook
Steps for Classic Outlook (Windows)

- Prepare the File: Ensure your contact data is saved as a
.csv file.
- Open Import Wizard: In Outlook, click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
- Select Action: Choose Import from another program or file and click Next.
- File Type: Select Comma Separated Values and click Next.
- Browse: Locate your
.csv file.
- Options: Choose how to handle duplicates (e.g., Replace duplicates with items imported) and click Next.
- Destination: Select the Contacts folder and click Next.
- Map Fields: Click Map Custom Fields to ensure columns in your CSV match Outlook fields correctly.
- Finish: Click Finish to import the contacts.
Steps for Outlook on the Web / New Outlook
- Go to the People (contacts) icon in the navigation bar.
- Select Manage contacts in the ribbon.
- Choose Import contacts.
- Click Browse, select your CSV file, and click Import.
Important Tips
- Encoding: Use UTF-8 encoding for your CSV to ensure special characters import correctly.
- Format: Ensure your file uses commas as separators, not semicolons, as Outlook requires comma-separated values.
- Mapping: If names or phone numbers appear in the wrong fields, use the “Map Custom Fields” option to drag and drop CSV headers to the correct Outlook contact fields.
